For all your paint baths
TiiroX® bare anodes can be installed vertically or horizontally as partial replacements (5 to 10%) for membrane anodes. Placed horizontally in the bottom of the tank, they improve paint deposition in areas that are difficult to coat with conventional vertical anodes (underbody, interior, etc.). Their design, based on titanium coated with mixed metal oxides, guarantees a much longer service life than 316L stainless steel electrodes, and prevents bath pollution by metal residues.
Range benefits
Energy savings
Installing TiiroX® bare anodes (within a 5-10% limit) reduces the system’s overall electrical resistance and optimizes the cataphoretic unit’s energy performance. TiiroX® bare anodes do not require anolyte supply.
Reduced acid use
TiiroX® bare anodes release acid directly into the bath, reducing the need for periodic acid top-ups. The impact of bare anodes on this parameter can be individually controlled by an ON/OFF switch system.
Reducing metal waste
The insoluble coating of TiiroX® bare anodes (or of TiiroX® electrodes inserted in EDCORE® cells) reduces metal emissions (Fe, Ni, Cr, etc.) into the anolyte, making it easier to comply with environmental regulations. The risk of paint contamination is also reduced.
Durability
The coating of mixed-metal oxides on the titanium electrode, mostly iridium oxides, prevents the electrode from dissolving during the process, guaranteeing extended service life.
In combination with EDCORE® cells, the membrane anodes thus produced have an optimum combined (membrane + electrode) service life, reducing the need for replacement.
Warranty
Alting offers a 2-year warranty on TiiroX® electrodes, accompanied by an OEM-related maintenance contract to ensure optimal operation.
Design
TiiroX® anodes are available in many designs: vertical or horizontal anodes – bare or EDCORE® membrane anodes – various diameters.
Assistance
Alting offers support for on-site sizing and installation, with maintenance contracts to ensure continuous operation.
Simplified maintenance
Significantly reduced weight compared with 316L stainless steel electrodes means easy handling. The stability of the mixed-metal oxide coating eliminates the need for periodic maintenance and electrode rotation..
