HOECHST AG, NADIR, CELGARD, MICRODYN NADIR, TOKUYAMA, ASTOM
Alting (contraction of Alternative Marketing) was created in February 1998 by Mr Gérard M. P. GERARD (GMG) and his son Stephane (SG), in partnership with his former company, the German HOECHST AG Group for whom GMG has been working as Managing Director of different subsidiaries for more than 30 years.
In 1998 HOECHST AG, world leader in the chemical industry, and Rhone Poulenc, have merged their life science and healthcare activities to become AVENTIS. Both have created spin-off companies for their industrial businesses: Rhodia for Rhone Poulenc and various new companies for Hoechst. At the same time Hoechst agrees to give ALTING the distribution of their polymeric membranes NADIR® (new name of Hoechst membranes) and Celgard (LiquiCel®) for France and the French speaking countries.
Since 1998 Alting and Microdyn-Nadir have been consolidating technical and commercial partnerships regarding polymeric membranes in the separation technologies MF, UF & NF, as well as gas and liquid extraction for the French countries.
In addition, ALTING has completed its membrane panel with an electro dialysis membrane in 2000, signing with Tokuyama Soda (Japan) a distribution agreement for EDCORE®.
ALTING offers solutions to the End User for all their “separation projects” in various branches of the industry through a “Push & Pull Strategy”:
